Terms and conditions

CHECK-IN

The check-in time is between 15:00hs (03:00pm) to 20:00hs (08:00pm) from Monday to Saturday and must be scheduled at least 3 days before the arrival. In case of early or late check-in please consult us for availability and prices. The cost for early or late check in varies according to the apartment. For check-in during sundays or holidays a supplement of €50,00 will be charged apart.

CHECK-OUT

The check-out time is up to 11:00hs. In case of late check-out please consult us for availability and prices.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

Please note that it’s not possible for us to store luggage before check-in/out. We recommend using the lockers in train stations.

CLEANING

The apartment is delivered clean and able to be inhabited. We ask guests just to dump the trash (indicated at check-in), leave the dishes clean (at least within the washing machine) and the furniture in the place where found.

LIABILITIES

The Renter is responsible for communicate accurate arrival information to the Habitat Parisien staff. The Renter will be held responsible for any fees resulting from a last-minute change or delay that is not communicated in advance to Habitat Parisien. When confirming your arrival and check-in time with us, please ensure that you have correctly communicated your arrival time and date.

Our Staff that will welcome you have the responsibility of:

  • Meeting you at the apartment at a previously agreed upon time
  • Showing Renter around property; explaining use of appliances and technology in property
  • Explaining any notable apartment or building particularities
  • Troubleshooting by phone issues in the property during Renter’s stay
  • Arranging for any necessary repairs or interventions
  • Be kind and clear up any lingering doubts

TRANSFER SERVICES AND DIRECTIONS

After the confirmation of your booking you will receive and e-mail with all the apartment directions and information. In the case you need a transfer service we will be happy to arrange it for you with our partner.

CAUTION DEPOSIT

A security and damage deposit is required for any damage to the Property incurred during the term of your rental, or with respect to any items missing from the Property. The deposit will be taken in the moment of the check-in; it can be done only by credit card (except American Express). The amount is blocked from your account and unblocked when you leave the apartment. It can take up to 7 days for your bank to unblock the amount. The caution deposit is only used if there is some problem with the apartment after your departure, such as:

  • Missing keys
  • Damage to household appliances misuse
  • Lost or broken appliances in general
  • Damage to the floor, walls, doors, stairs, etc.
  • Damage to furniture, home furnishings, ustensils
  • Stains or tears in linens and bath
  • Fines relating to misconduct with neighbors and common parts of the building

CANCELLATION POLICY

In case of cancellations, the refund depends on the advance of the cancellation:

  • 60 to 30 days before, nothing is charged;
  • 29 days before,100% refund on the reservation.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

As a standard, all our apartments count with the following amenities included on the rental amount:

  • Wireless Internet High Speed (Some apartments come with computers);
  • HD TV with over 200 satellite channels;
  • All costs for electricity and water;
  • Telephone calls to landlines in over 40 countries;
  • Towels (one per person) and bed material for all guests;
  • Basic hygiene products;
  • Soap for the dishwasher;

APARTMENT CONDITIONS

  • All our apartments are non-smoking. You can feel free to smoke in the balcony (if available);
  • No pets allowed in the apartments;
  • Groups that will celebrate bachelor parties are not accepted.
  • In order to respect the neighbors and family environment, we do not accept reservations from people who will conduct illegal activities or invite company of streetwalker(s) during their stay in the apartment.
  • Renters must be quiet and respectful of neighbors at all times. This includes no excessive noise in the Property, stairwells, elevators, or building entry. People living here are not on vacation. Please behave as you would in your own home.
  • The French law (HADOPI) forbids the download of any illegal files from the internet (torrent, websites and peer-to-peer included). In case of downloads, the fine will be charged to the customer after their stay.
  • The apartment must be returned in the same conditions it was given

ACCESS TO THE APARTMENT

Each property is accessible by the renter, as well as the owner of the property, the greeter and the cleaner. Normally, while the property is rented, no one, including the owner, greeter, cleaner or Habitat Parisien staff, will enter the property without first giving notification, either via written email or phone call, to the renter.

In most circumstances Habitat Parisien will not enter a property that is rented without prior notification. Nevertheless, there may be certain situations that require immediate access without said notification. Those situations include but are not limited to: actual or suspected damage to the property or building; flooding, fire or major construction to the property or building; actual or suspected harm or illness to someone in the property; actual or suspected loss, theft or burglary from the property; or a situation where without immediate access, the property may suffer severe damage or destruction.

Choosing an apartment over a hotel is a great option but there are a few things to keep in mind during your stay: this is residential building; please respect your working neighbours’ tranquillity.

  • Please be quiet in public areas such as hallways, stairs, and courtyard, and do not slam doors.
  • Please do not throw anything at the window and do not disturb the guardian if you have a problem. Please contact your welcoming agent.
  • According to the French law, “Noise should not (…) disturb the peace of the neighbourhood” (Decree n°2006-1099, 31/08/06). It concerns noises between 10 pm to 7 a.m. We ask that you respect this regulation to facilitate your stay. (Please keep music volume low between 10pm to 9am)
  • As denoted in your contract, we reserve the right to immediately eject (without financial compensation) from our apartments any person or persons, that do not respect these guidelines. Your security deposit may also be blocked.
  • We are all involved in ecological matters; please recycle your garbage according to the containers that are at your disposal.
  • Please respect the apartment as you would your own house and let us know if any accidents happen. If the deposit is not sufficient to cover the cost of further damages, the tenant commits himself to paying the remaining cost.
  • According to the HADOPI law (31/12/2012), we remind you that it is forbidden to download works from Internet.
  • As in accordance with the law, we ask that you inform us in writing (text, email) within 24 hours of any damage or problem in the apartment. If not, it will be understood that the apartment rented is in a perfect state.
  • Please note that if the keys are not returned in the next 48h we will charge you for the cost of any further expenses.
  • You will find on the television box the countries you can call for free on fixed landlines. Please note that you will be charged only if the bill during your stay exceeds 5€ + 20€ for handling fees.
  • Please note that you will be charged if you subscribe to subscription channels + 20€ for handling fees.
